I don't take donations. But these charities deserve your support.

This site is something I do because I wish it had existed when I was housebound at 17. I'm not collecting money for myself. If you've found this helpful and you're in a position to give, I'd rather you put it towards the charities that fund real services for people with anxiety and panic disorders.

Absolutely no guilt

If you can't donate, that's completely fine. You don't owe anyone anything for reading a website. You being here and working on your recovery (or supporting someone else with theirs) is already enough.

Two charities I'd pick

Mind

Mind provides information, advice, and support for anyone experiencing a mental health problem. When I was stuck indoors, their website was one of the few places I found clear, honest information that didn't feel clinical or patronising.

No Panic

No Panic is a UK charity specifically for people with panic disorder, anxiety, phobias, and OCD. If what you've read on this site sounds like your life, No Panic is the most directly relevant charity I know.

Other ways to help (no money needed)

  • Share this site. If you know someone who's struggling with agoraphobia, send them the link. Gently, not as pressure. Just: "I found this, thought of you."
  • Check in on someone. If you've noticed a friend withdrawing, one honest message can mean more than you realise.
  • Learn what's happening. Understanding the panic-avoidance loop helps you support someone without accidentally making things worse.
  • Join the community. Even being present in the Discord helps - it reminds people they're not alone.

If you're supporting someone

I've written a page specifically for family and friends. It covers what helped me, what didn't, and how to support exposure practice without burning yourself out. Read it here.
